The MTA proposed schedule adjustments this week in response to increasing subway ridership in Queens. 7 Train riders will receive some relief when weekday 7 service will be increased a total of 6 round trips between 4:30pm and 11:30pm. One additional round trip will operate during the afternoon rush hour and five additional round trips will operate during the evening hours.

The schedule changes will be implemented in the Spring of 2017—as part of separate changes also being made to the 1 Train—with a cost a total of $0.6 million annually, consistent with the 2017 operating budget.
