Access Queens to Hold "Track Meet" in Sunnyside

Access Queens to Hold "Track Meet" in Sunnyside

Access Queens is inviting members of the 7 Train Blues℠ Facebook group and other supporters to a "Track Meet" in Sunnyside on Friday, July 10, 2015.

From 6-7pm, Queens residents and members of 7 Train Blues℠ can meet the steering committee at 46th-Bliss Street and take home flyers. The "7 Can't Wait" petition, asking residents to endorse more train service sooner than the planned December 2015 addition of two nightly trains, will be available to sign. Concerned riders will also be able to speak with Access Queens about their concerns over recent transit challenges.

A happy hour at Sidetracks Bar & Lounge will follow with a 7 train-related drink special, appetizers and gift raffles, including t-shirts donated by local businesses and a "7 Train Survival Kit" complete with Advil, subway maps, hand sanitzer, snacks and other items.

Access Queens plans on hosting several "Track Meets" to connect riders and engage the community beyond social media. Watch accessqueens.org for upcoming event notices.
